Welcome to PigeonTV.com - the hottest new racing pigeon website on the entire internet!

PigeonTV-LIVE! will not be seen live tonight, due to personal circumstances beyond my control. Sorry guys and gals. Tim and I will be back next week with more live exciting information to watch. Who knows..we may even bring back the chat box just for fun! Anyway, here is one of our top interviews from 2009 - PigeonTV-LIVE! with Gerard Koopman, who just this past weekend scored 5th place in the SCMDPR in South Africa! There is a 3-4 min pause before the video starts, so just be patient. Gerard got out of bed at 2am just to be with us LIVE on the air, and we had over 200 unique viewers watching live. Enjoy, and see you all next week.

JACOB POORTVLIET REPLAY HERE!

Next PIGEONTV-LIVE! Here's a preview of our next live guest, Jacob Poortvliet!

THE STAGE IS SET...THE DATE CARVED IN STONE - JUNE 18TH WITH JACOB!!!

Here is the website of our great friends, The Oostlander Family. Bert and Wendy are both the kinds of people that this sport could use more of. Knowledgeable, dedicated, true fancier in every respect of the word, and good, hard working business people, as well. Take the time to visit their site, and you'll be glad you did.

FEATURED VIDEO Here is a very cool look at the lofts of the excellent flyer Marcel Sangers. Marcel was a recent guest on PigeonTV-LIVE! and got out of bed in Holland at 1:30 am in order to let us talk with him on the phone. His lofts are small, helping him to keep only the very best - which is part of why he is so successful! Look carefully at his breeding loft - you will see that the front and sides are very open with glass, and the roof looks to be translucent plexiglas - to let in even more light...do you smell a secret to good breeding here?

A great Eupopean pigeon auction website

Here's a timely video on why we build our lofts so carefully. Something to think about as you go about "fixing" those things in your loft that need looking after, now that racing season is over.

The REAL Dutch Champions
Bert Oostlander, Global Pigeon Supply Co.
It is once again my pleasure, as it has been in previous years, to introduce the Dutch Champions for 2008, to the American fanciers. I received the results from "The Best of the Best" awards chairman Gerrit van Eikenhorst. This competition is sponsored by the pigeon publication "Het Spoor der Kampioenen". As co-owner, as well as being co-owner of its Belgium sister publication "Het Duivenblad", I would like to take this opportunity to give a big Thank You to the staff of both magazines for the wonderful job they do, week in and week out. . . . keep reading

RICHARD TOPUS, A PIGEON TRAINER IN WORLD WAR II
By MARGALIT FOX, NY TImes
In January 1942, barely a month after Pearl Harbor, the United States War Department sounded a call to enlist. It wasn't men they wanted -- not this time. The Army was looking for pigeons. Richard Topus helped American spies and the military in the swift, silent use of birds in wartime. To the thousands of American men and boys who raced homing pigeons, a popular sport in the early 20th century and afterward, the government's message was clear: Uncle Sam Wants Your Birds. . . . keep reading
